WALTHAM, Mass., 25 Feb. 2008. Industrial Computing Inc. in Waltham, Mass., is offering the Guardian 135 military-grade rugged handheld data terminal that combines Windows CE 5.0 and Intel's RISC CPU PXA270 microprocessor.

The device meets the guidelines of MIL-STD-810F and IP 67 for resistance to shock, vibration, dust, dirt, and moisture. The device is for applications involving data collection like supply-chain management, company officials say.

Wireless connectivity by 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth enable users to connect to main computers without cables. PCMCIA and SD slots can increase data storage and add accessories such as GPS card, GPRS card, or RFID card.
